Oil Warehouse & Transit Hub For Lome Togo

      • We have a strategically located 160,000 metric tonne SUZMEX floater at Lome, Togo, and a 100,000 metric tonne gasoline floater, ensuring uninterrupted cargo supply to the Western and Southern African regions
      • The facility consists of 6 in-ground concrete tanks with a capacity of 7,5 Million bbls each, and a total capacity of 45million bbls
      • The storage terminal is linked to the jetty by a 8,3 kilometer pipeline.
      • Tank 2 & 6 are dedicated to strategic reserves
      • All infrastructure belongs to SFF
      • Tanks 3, 4 & 5 are utilized for commercial third-party storage by United Petro Ndjow SA along with dedicated terminals
      • Third party storage is made available to the market through a cooperation agreement with United Petro Ndjow SA

Highlight

    • Buyer Issues BG or SBLC for USD 30 million as a payment guarantee from a reputed bank in SA from his own account. For one year with extensions up to 3 years. (One of your existing Chishti Group of companies can receive the instrument in UK or elsewhere)

Port Limitations

The port of Saldanha Bay accepts vessels witha draught of up to 20.5m although the harbour master conditionally accepts vessels with a draught of 21.5m. The port entrance channel is dredged to a depth of -23m Chart Datum and -23.7m CD at the commencement of the entrance channel. The entrance channel has a minimum width of 400m. The turning basin seaward of the jetty has a diameter of 580m and a depth of -23.2m CD.

The draught at the multi purpose quay is 12m for berth 201 and 13.4m for berths 202 and 203. Pilotage is compulsory and tugs are required for ship working.

Port Plans

Transnet has announced several ambitious plans for Saldanha Port which include facilities for ship and oil rig repair and to cater for the various aspects of the developing oil and gas industry. More details of these are expected to be forthcoming.
