It has come to our attention that an individual alleging to be an employee and consultant of United Petro Group in China had organised business meetings under the names “United Petro Group Specialty Chemical” or “Industry Park investment project”.

We wish to alert members of the public that this is a scam, and the individual does not represent United Petro Group’ interests whether as an employee or a consultant. Relevant authorities have been informed of this matter and investigations are currently ongoing.

We have been made aware of a letter on a fake United Petro Group letterhead bearing forged signatures of United Petro Group leaders being circulated to companies requesting them to place an advertisement in "Forbes Industrial” magazine, purportedly in conjunction with an editorial feature on United Petro Group.

We wish to inform that neither United Petro Group nor any of its subsidiaries within the Group of Companies has authorised such a letter or any other advertising solicitation and appeal to recipients of the letter not to respond to it.

United Petro Group has been made aware of a scam website post offering a 'new year gift' in the form of monetary compensation for answering a questionnaire.

We wish to inform that neither United Petro Group nor any of our subsidiaries within the Group of Companies are involved in this "survey", and we appeal to the public not to respond or take part.

United Petro Group has been made aware of the circulation of a fraudulent letter and a supporting document purportedly from our management advising the next-of-kin recipient(s) to pay a certain amount of money to United Petro Group for damages caused by their late relative(s) while performing work for United Petro Group.

The damage compensation must be paid before United Petro Group could release to the next-of-kin the “contract funds” owed to the late relative(s).

United Petro Group would like to inform that this is another form of scam by irresponsible individual(s) and advise members of the public not to respond to the documents.

United Petro Group has communicated with the authorities on this matter.

United Petro Group has been made aware of unauthorised use of our Company’s logo as well as a mention of our Company in a video of an allegedly former United Petro Group staff who benefitted from what could appear to be a gambling scheme.

We wish to alert members of the public the content of the video is false, untrue and completely baseless. It is probably a scam devised by unscrupulous individuals or parties.

We appeal to the public not to respond to this scam on WhatsApp or possibly other social media platforms and wish to stress that the claims made in the video are fraudulent and was maliciously published.

In addition, neither United Petro Group nor any of our subsidiaries within the Group of Companies, are involved or associated in any way, with the circulated content.

United Petro Group is also communicating with the relevant authorities on this matter.

It has come to our attention that an inpidual alleging to be an employee of United Petro Group, has been executing transactions for electrical items which are claimed to be procured for United Petro Group.

We wish to alert members of the public that this is an ongoing scam. Please note that no such transaction has been made by United Petro Group or any of its employees.

We appeal to the public not to succumb to this scam. Neither United Petro Group nor its subsidiaries are involved or associated in any way with these transactions.

Relevant authorities have been informed of this matter.
