Role Overview:
Manage and oversee lubricant blending operations to ensure precision, efficiency, and adherence to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage blending operations for lubricant formulations, ensuring accuracy in production and strict compliance with quality standards.
Develop, implement, and continuously refine blending procedures to optimize operational efficiency and reduce production costs.
Monitor raw material usage, blending ratios, and equipment calibration to ensure consistent product quality and performance.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to test, validate, and certify blended products meet specifications.
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations during all blending processes.
Identify and troubleshoot blending-related issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
Maintain detailed production records, including batch logs and performance reports, for management review and decision-making.
Work closely with the supply chain and inventory teams to manage raw material requirements and ensure adequate stock availability.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to blending operators and team members.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing blending operations, improving product quality, and driving innovation
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Strong understanding of lubricant formulations and blending processes.
Proficiency in working with blending equipment, tools, and calibration methods.
Analytical mindset with the ability to monitor and interpret blending ratios and quality parameters.
Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations related to chemical manufacturing and blending operations.
Problem-solving skills to identify and address operational challenges effectively.
Experience with quality assurance processes and standards in manufacturing.
Knowledge of supply chain coordination and raw material management.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and training purposes.
Proficiency in record-keeping, data analysis, and report generation using relevant software tools.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in blending operations, lubricant manufacturing, or related roles.
Hands-on experience with laboratory testing of chemical blends is preferred.
