Oversee and manage trading activities in the LPG sector, developing and maintaining client relationships to maximize trading profitability and ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute LPG trading strategies and oversee day-to-day trading operations, aligning activities with company goals and market opportunities.
Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and counterparties to identify and secure profitable trading opportunities.
Monitor global LPG markets, analyze supply-demand trends, and provide actionable insights to support trading decisions.
Negotiate and manage trading contracts, ensuring compliance with terms, company policies, and industry regulations.
Collaborate with internal teams, including logistics, risk management, and finance, to ensure efficient trade execution and resolve operational challenges.
Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with trading activities, including credit, price, and operational risks.
Coordinate LPG cargo movements, including scheduling, shipping, and delivery, to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of obligations.
Maintain detailed records of trading activities and provide performance reports to senior management.
Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities to enhance the company’s presence in the LPG market.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance trading efficiency, profitability, and compliance with industry standards.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge of LPG trading, including market dynamics, pricing structures, and trade flows.
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills to establish and maintain successful partnerships.
Analytical abilities to assess market data, identify opportunities, and make informed trading decisions.
Understanding of risk management principles, particularly in trading environments.
Proficiency in using trading platforms, market analysis tools, and CRM systems.
Excellent organizational skills to manage contracts, logistics, and trading activities simultaneously.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and contractual obligations in LPG trading.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Energy Management, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in LPG trading, energy trading, or similar roles.
Proven track record of successful trading operations and deal closures in the LPG market.
Experience with both physical and financial LPG trading is preferred.
