Mr. Clint has a diverse background in trading, venture investments, and tech innovation. Formerly with Shell Trading’s Origination & Investments team, he focused on trading and future energy investments and infrastructure in emerging markets. As a co-founder of Startup Weekend, Clint helped build the world’s largest hackathon network, which acquired the White House initiative Startup America led by Barack Obama. Startup Weekend was later sold to TechStars, the world’s largest seed-stage investor with a $116 billion portfolio market cap.
He has raised capital for companies like Stacks and TrueFi, invested early in Rover.com (sold to Blackstone for $2.3B), and has been involved in Bitcoin and crypto since 2012.
Mr. Clint serves as the Managing Director of United Petro Africa, actively overseeing operations, trading, and investment initiatives across the company’s portfolio. He plays a pivotal role in originating LNG and crude oil projects across Africa and Europe. As a dynamic leader, Clint is highly focused on achieving the company’s sales and investment goals, driving growth, and expanding market presence.
